Brian Sullivan began playing drums in the clubs of Long Island, NY at 15 years old. It was there he also met and began private studies with Buddy Rich apprentice and NY area jazz drummer Joe Ascionne. In 1996, Brian moved to Charlotte, NC and started a career playing with some of the area's finest musicians. He has toured and recorded with a number of regional and national artists including Wycliffe Gordon, Harry Allen, Dave Liebman, Dave Easley, Beth Chorneau, and Scott Sawyer. Brian was lucky enough to tour extensively with the Christian Tamburr Quartet to Russia, all the Baltic States, and a little Europe and South Pacific as well. He also currently teaches private drum lessons in Charlotte at two area schools, Music4Life and Creative EJ.
