Arranger, Composer, Educator, MC and Percussionist Larry Q. Draughn Jr. has been cultivating his musical concept since birth. He holds a Bachelors in Classical Percussion (NCA&TSU) and Masters in Jazz studies (NCCU). Being a professional drummer by trade, Larry is first call musician both home and abroad. He's been blessed to share the stage with the likes of Branford Marsalis, Joey Calderazzo, and Nneena Freelon to name a few. As an MC, Larry is embarking on the triptych work which is the Manifesto. (Chapter 1:"Screw Religion Remixed and Remastered", Chapter 2:"Love Songs", and Chapter 3:"The Manifesto"). Larry is also a consummate educator/lecturer in his own right specializing in Jazz drumset history and pan-African rhythmic concepts. As well as composing poetry as an MC, Larry is also an instrumental composer and arranger. He's performed his works at both the Kennedy Center and the Ravinia Jazz Festival.
