The Youth Big Band will start Saturday, January 18, 2025
Fall Schedule: January 18 - April 19
The group will be directed by Jason Bohde and meet on Saturdays from 9 to 10:30 am for 12 weeks. A concert is scheduled for Saturday, December 7.
Students do not need prior jazz experience, but should have several years experience on their instrument.
Open to middle and high school students. Students should plan on participating the entire school year. Interested students should fill in the Youth Registration Form.
Instrumentation: brass (trumpet/trombone), saxophonists (alto, tenor, baritone) and piano/bass/guitar/drums
Financial aid scholarships are available. The Durham Jazz Workshop never turns down an eligible student based on money.
