The DJW will offer a youth big band this Fall Semester:
SATURDAY BIG BAND: Dates to be announced, 2026-2027 (concert)
The group will be directed by Jason Bohde and meet on Saturdays from 9 to 10:30 am for 12 weeks. To end the semester there will be a concert on Saturday .......
Open to middle and high school students. Interested students should fill in the Youth Registration Form. Students do not need prior jazz experience, but should have several years experience on their instrument.
Insrumentation: brass (trumpet/trombone), saxophonists (alto, tenor, baritone) and piano/bass/guitar/drums
Financial aid scholarships are available. The Durham Jazz Workshop never turns down an eligible student based on money.
